Yadis Plastics has been manufacturing in Willowvale since 2010 and now produces twenty lines of flexible packaging. The website shows a bulleted text list and a single product picture. This proposal presents a complete, already-built seven-page replacement in your own colours: what it changes, the value it creates, and the investment required.
Your Products page lists twenty lines as plain bulleted text, under one photograph. A buyer cannot see a single bag at any useful size, cannot link to a product, and cannot ask for a price without writing a message from scratch. The strongest thing about the business is the part the website leaves out.
Glatcare Investments, trading as Yadis Plastics, has manufactured in Willowvale since 2010 — from black sheeting and tubing into twenty lines of flexible packaging, printed in up to four colours, sold in bulk from the factory and over the counter in Avondale. That is a substantial manufacturing business with a genuine fifteen-year track record.
We have designed and rebuilt the full website — all seven pages — drawing on the design language of the world’s leading packaging manufacturers (Amcor, ProAmpac, Berry, Constantia Flexibles): a confident industrial hero, market-segment navigation, a proper product architecture, a photographic treatment across the range, and a quote path on every single screen.
Nothing about the brand changes. The Yadis Plastics mark is untouched and the existing palette — navy and gold — is applied exactly as-is, only more consistently and more confidently than a Facebook cover photo ever allowed.
What changes is everything around it: structure, typography, imagery, messaging, mobile experience, speed and the route from “who makes packaging in Harare?” to a costable enquiry in your inbox.
This is not a mock-up. It is the actual rebuilt home page, embedded below. Scroll inside the frame, hover the cards, and switch between desktop, tablet and mobile views.
The full redesign covers all seven pages — Home, Products, Printed Packaging, Industries, Sustainability, About and Contact. A note on the photography: every image is your own — the factory floor, the bag-making machines, studio shots of your bags, and the printed work you have produced for your customers — taken from your existing website and the photo library your team supplied, then re-cropped to a single consistent frame.

| Area | Current presence | Proposed redesign |
|---|---|---|
| Your product range | ✕Twenty product lines appear as a plain bulleted text list under a single photograph. Nothing can be seen, linked to, or quoted from. | ✓Every line given its own section with a photograph, specification notes, an anchor link and a “Quote this line” button — a Products page a buyer can send to a colleague. |
| Your heritage | ✕“Began operations in 2010” sits in a paragraph on the About page. Nothing on the home page says how long you have been manufacturing. | ✓2010 leads the credentials row on the home page, beside 20 product lines, 4-colour printing and your two Harare locations. Fifteen years is a claim most competitors cannot make. |
| First impression | ✕A 2021 Elementor template: stock icons, a generic slider, and three near-identical panels of marketing copy before a visitor learns what you actually make. | ✓A full-height industrial hero — the extrusion line itself, graded in your navy and gold — under a headline that says what you are in six words: “Flexible packaging, made in Harare.” |
| Imagery | ✕Product thumbnails are 150×150 pixels. The gallery page contains no gallery. Several images are leftover theme stock, including a fashion model. | ✓Your own photographs, recovered at full resolution and re-cropped to one consistent frame — the factory floor, the machines, and real printed work — compressed to load fast on mobile data. |
| Getting an enquiry | ✕A four-field contact form asking only Name, Email, Phone and Message. The buyer has to work out what to tell you; you have to chase the rest. | ✓A structured quote form that asks the four questions you need answered — product, contents, plain or printed, quantity — plus click-to-call, email and WhatsApp fixed to every screen. |
| Buyer segmentation | ✕One undifferentiated message to households, millers, builders and pharmacies alike. | ✓Eight industry sections — milling & grain, agriculture & seed, retail, pharmacy, food & beverage, ice & cold chain, construction, hospitality & facilities — each written to the concern that sector actually has. |
| Printed packaging | ✕“Printed in up to four colours” is buried in the About Us history paragraph. Your highest-value, stickiest service is a footnote. | ✓A dedicated Printed Packaging page that sells the commercial case, sets out the four-step process from artwork to delivery, and states the four-colour capability where buyers will see it. |
| Being found | ✕Five thin pages built on a page-builder, with the product range locked inside body text and no per-page search metadata worth the name. | ✓Per-page titles and descriptions, semantic HTML, described images, and dedicated product and industry pages built around the phrases buyers actually type — carrier bags, black sheeting, chemist bags, mealie-meal packaging, Harare. |
| Two locations | ✕The Avondale shop is not mentioned at all. Anyone wanting a few bin liners has no idea they can walk in and buy them. | ✓Both surfaced in the top bar, the About page, the Contact page and the footer — with an ordering table telling each type of buyer which door to use. |
| Sustainability | ✕“#recycleplasticdonttrashit” appears as a hashtag on social posts and nowhere on the website. | ✓A proper position page — four practical habits, an honest paragraph about litter being a handling problem — plus an offer to print a recycling message on customers’ packaging at no extra cost. |
| Speed & resilience | ✕WordPress with Elementor, a page-builder, plugins and a database — and a domain that was returning a hosting suspension notice as recently as August this year. | ✓Hand-built static pages: no plugins, no database, no licences to lapse. System fonts, compressed and lazy-loaded images, and a hosting bill close to zero. |
A website is not a brochure expense for a manufacturer. It is the front door of the sales channel you do not currently have. Here is where the return comes from.
A procurement officer looking for 50,000 printed carrier bags searches before they call anybody. Right now they land on a text list and no way to picture what they would be buying.
Product, contents, plain or printed, quantity. Four answers turn a vague “how much for bags?” into an enquiry you can cost without a single follow-up call.
Printing is the difference between selling a commodity bag and holding an account. The redesign gives it a full page, a process and a call to action instead of two words in a description.
Fifteen years, twenty lines, four-colour printing and your own factory floor — stated plainly, where a buyer sees them. Not a reseller with a phone.
The Willowvale factory and the Avondale shop serve completely different buyers. The redesign routes each of them to the right door instead of leaving them to guess.
Static, hand-built pages have no plugin licences, no database, no theme to update and nothing that can be suspended for a missed renewal on a control panel nobody logs into.
